New Stuff from 90's and 2000's

I was trying to find papers for my income tax preparation when I came upon a whole folder of stuff from Maris from the 90's and 2000's.  I will now share this stuff.  (All except some of his family pictures at some family  reunions)

Post Cards: Latvia-1990 and Nova Scotia-1994

Maris's mural art at the Globe Cafe in Seattle from April 1995 through June 1995 using car tires as rubber stamps.

Maris in Riga, Latvia in the summer of 1995.  He also went to Smiltene, Latvia to visit the church that was his great grandfather's .  He took a pix with church people.

More pix of Latvia in 1995

Maris Art in 1996 (Kitch and Kaboodle) and
1998 (Gertrude Stein Performance) 3 pix

His Studio and rehearsal space and pad in 1998

This letter I received from Maris after I had lost contact with him and I found him on-line by contacting the Subtext readings at the Speakeasy Cafe in Seattle where he was performing and I left an e-mail with some one there.  (http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=19980329&slug=2742129)
 April 15, 1998:
"Subtext Reading Series: Maris Hundzins (sic) and Crag Hill are the featured poets; 7:30 p.m., Speakeasy Cafe, 2304 Second Ave., Seattle, $5 suggested donation; "

The pix he mentions are above the letter and the information about Latvian workforce in 1955, I am leaving off.

  1. Butch Kersh... Are you still out there? If so, I would love to communicate with you. I knew Maris when we were both working in the National Building near the Seattle waterfront - fro 1973 to 1977. I'm living in Seattle now, Googled Maris and found that he had died. I have some regrets I would like to discuss with you. Thank you for posting all of this wonderful correspondence and history. It's easy to find me online by googling my unusual name. My email is Slave To Her Pets at msn dot com. That is all one word.
